New Mexico's last game before conference play and I have a feeling somebody is gonna be looking ahead. Cornell in no way is a threat in New Mexico's mind to win this game on the road, but guards Ka'ron Barnes and Cody Toppert, who returns to New Mexico for the first time where his parents both played for UNM, should be able to carry the team (both averaging over 17 PPG) to a close game. Cornell, who by no means have a tough schedule are in fact coming off of 2 wins while New Mexico has won 6 of 7 after dropping 3 straight including a 77-71 defeat at home from Portland. Bottom line in this one: New Mexico gets the win at home, but after a little scare from Cornell while they are looking ahead to conference play.
